I know a guy in Miami. Unfortunately, you need to be a baseball fan. Guess that counts you out. Wink

Well I used to be a buyer for a retail chain, and now I work on the safety side. You know coporate restructures! Rolling Eyes

Anyway, in the Army I was a logistics specialist and handled other stuff. I also do photography on the side. Probably should start my own studio. But I bet I couldnt get a small business loan right now.

I'm currently completing my degree through UA.

Buying enough photo gear to make you competitive would be a challenge for sure.

Maybe you could get a job as a photographic assistant at a larger studio. A guy with the multitude of skills that you more than likely picked up in the service would probably prove to be very valuable in a studio environment. While you worked there you would certainly pick up lots of technical experience about photography.

True, maybe I'll look into that.

RollTideinGA, good luck to you. I'm in a similar position. My last day in the Coast Guard is Nov 7. I am currently talking to two companies, but I'm also still looking.

I've been a boat driver, Federal Law Enforcement Officer, and a supervisor for the past 8 years. If anyone knows a job that I would be suited for, please let me know. I'm open to live anywhere in the Southeast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had no idea you were in the Coast Guard Chuck. Thanks for your service.

Thanks man, I thought I'd mentioned it on here before. It's been a great job. I've met some truly wonderful folks, but it's time to move on. I think I'm worth more money.

Money wasn't as much of an issue when I was stationed in Mobile, AL, because I was afforded enough time off to run a landscape company on the side. I really miss the extra loot!

Well, the North is tolerable for a visit; just wouldn't want to live there.

Me needs to stay south of the M-D Line.

Yankee incursions have rendered the M-D meaningless. This yankee enclave called Atlanta can be maddening.

Yep, and I bet they think they own the dang place, too.

Don't you just hate it when they start telling you how much better things are up north? And you stand there listening to them bellyache about the South, all the while thinking how much better life would be if they would just load up and head back.

Every Southern state should have laws allowing yankees to visit but not seek employment. Wink
