For that matter, thank goodness we're playing Spiller and Davis, and not all the hype you've generated. |

We live approx. 90 miles outside of Blacksburg. Go ahead and post all the Clemson crap you want. I assure you the ACC is not the SEC. Keep diggin' with that shovel cause the sh#t is getting deep. I hate the ACC but the schools have treated me extremely well here in Virginia. VT is always overrated along with BC and Clemson. Hell, the whole conference is a joke when you have watched the SEC and ACC as long as I have. The only comparable teams I have seen in the PAST are Miami and F-State as far as speed and FEROCITY are concerned and they aren't playin BAMA, CLEMSON is. Aug. 30th is coming fast, so enjoy you youtube shenanigans and smack talk while it lasts. The train is coming to your sh***y little conference. I will say this, if Clemson was playing Bama last year or a few years ago I would not say a word to your snide remarks because I would be afraid of you posts after the game. Alabama will win. I assure you. I will bet the house on it. We are just good enough to beat the Clemsons of the world. Will we win the SEC? Not this year.
To be fair:
The SEC holds an 251-117-10 (.677) all-time advantage.
In the past 10 years (1998-2007) the SEC leads the ACC in head-to-head games with a 41-30-0 (.577) record.
One must also remember that Miami played in the BIG LEAST in the recent past.
Most of the ACC wins were against the historically "weaker" teams in the SEC. |
typical SEC fan boy spew (we hear it from our neighbors in Columbia all the time)
FSU beat you last year...remember?
does that count as win over a "weaker" team in the SEC?
i promise you Clemson matches up from a "speed and ferocity" standpoint with most teams in your beloved SEC...
our stadium, our fans, our facilities, not much room to knock Clemson...we are every bit SEC caliber in those regards |
Here's some more "spew"
SEC Record for bowl games last year: 7-2
ACC Record for bowl games last year: 2-6
The SEC holds an 251-117-10 (.677) all-time advantage over ACC teams.

Facts don't lie my friend. |

...and we are playing Clemson and not FSU as you brought up earlier. Do you honestly think that you will be facing the same caliber team that played FSU last year?
I will give Spiller and Davis their due. They are very good backs and well above average. They could play in almost any SEC backfield although there are a few where they would have to platoon with other great backs (UGA comes to mind with Moreno and King).
Bottom line is, neither BAMA or Clemson is going to buckle at the sight of each other's team. Both teams have athletes, talent and are used to large venues to play football. It should be a great game, regardless of conference affiliation, which doesn't mean squat when toe meets leather on August 30th.

Having Bama fans buy up Clemson tickets to the game is typical of SEC schools. The Clemson end of these transactions tends to work against your argument.
Oh and keep in mind this the fans of the preseason ACC Champs talking themselves up against a team picked to finish third in their division. If that fear or classlessness?
Question: If Clemson is supposed to be the best in the Conference, and the ACC is all that you say it is, then why are they not ranked any higher then they are? Is that a lack of respect for Clemson or for the ACC?

I'm not vouching for other teams in the conference with that statement though teams like FSU fall into that category as well.
if you think Clemson doesn't have one of the stronger fan bases in the southeast (or at least one that compares somewhat to the teams in your conference)...you are misinformed
fear or classlessness?
if defending your school is classless, i guess classless...
i know that post above from vatider that got me started sure was

Someone call Saban now and tell him there is no need to show up.
Clemson is just too fast. They have already gone to ATL and played the game before we could get there. We lost by one.

I actually attended the game in Jacksonville last year with my wife. It was a horrible game for both FSU and BAMA. If BAMA was playing you LAST YEAR I would agree with your remarks on the game. This isn't last year baby... We are still young and you do have two very talented backs, but they (combined) are no DMAC. I dont fear those little backs... hell on third down is when CLEMSON needs to worry. I think the ACC as a whole is in a decline and it will continue. That my friend is why Clemson is picked to win the ACC this year. The whole damn conference is declining... Make sure that when Clemson loses to the great FACTS you have posted to a very young BAMA team this year you post again. If memory serves correct, as I stated before the ACC had 3 wins last year against very young, overachieving SEC teams (Bama, SC, Kentucky). This isn't last year my friend. I am fairly certain the SEC holds 2 National Champs over the past two seasons. I really think you have a better chance of saying Clemson will beat Bama than even making a comparison between the two conferences.
By the way, this is a BAMA board...Read on up the page to see who started all the smack talk. Im glad I got you all pissed off, because you and your little friends chose to do the same to me and the posters on this board. Hell, Clemson is so good I figured they would have their own message forum by now. I tell you what, have a big party game day, invite all your friends and talk about how superior Clemson is over Alabama. Then watch the damn game and see what happens. I actually have respect for some ACC teams, but when WF makes a run at the confrence there is a huge problem my friend.

So Atlanta is SO far from Clemson that your fans are selling their tickets to Bama fans...and you dismiss this by noting that the game is not at home? Are you serious?
No, you can not put THAT kind of fan in the same class with SEC fans.
In the SEC we have an unwritten rule...If your team plays, you go...its called "Traveling well". The SEC does it better than anyone else. That is one of the reasons that the SEC has more teams playing in bowl games every year, that and the fact that we win more times than not.
Just out of curiosity, of the 12 SEC schools, which do you consider Clemson's program, stadium, fans, and facilities above? (Use the big picture and the weakly falling back on a pre-season poll because I will have to point out that at one point last season South Florida was ranked higher than Clemson is now, and we both know they are not the second best program in America.)

I started the thread, testing u guys, what Auburn fans said about bama fans is dead on.
I now consider bama the Gamecocks of the state of Alabma. Auburn would be the school of class of Alabama, just as Clemson is the school that has class in South Carolina. I am assuming the standards to get into Alabama are a bit lower than Auburn, just as getting into gamecockville are a bit lower than Clemson. If you want to argue, post average SAT or ACT scores for incoming freshman. If you do not, I would assume my assumptions are correct.

I checked your links.
Has nothing to do with incoming freshman academics.
Either you are too stupid to link, or admitting I am correct.

And what Lewis Grizzard said about Clemson is dead on.

| furman, clemson, newberry college, then francis marion, double major, math and computer science, had to have a 2.0 overall. Had to have above a 2.0 in both majors. I do not know how I did it, but had above 2.0 overall, above 2.0 in both majors, but graduated with a 2.097. What did you graduate with?
