I'm not liking the ones that I'm finding online. Shoot, I think I've made half of them. I'm smoking a pork shoulder tomorrow and would like to have a mustard sauce with a little heat, sweet, and plenty of vinegar. Help me please. _________________ Pocket Presents

I would suggest finding one that is close to what you are looking for, then tweak it with your specifications. Want sweet, add some brown sugar. Want heat, add some cayenne pepper. Keep working with it over time until you get what you are looking for. _________________

| Hey Chuck-E, did you find a recipe? Just wondering what you used. I haven't actually heard of the mustard based SC sauce, but that would make sense because I've never been to SC. I did use a BBQ sauce/ baby back ribs recipe from the Food Network/ Tyler Florence earlier this week that was really, really good. It was more sweet though. If you want a link to it, let me know. Hope yours turned out well. Smoked pork sounds delicious!

I did finally find one that I like. Equal parts mustard and red wine vinegar. Worcestershire, white sugar, molasses, butter, salt, pepper and hot sauce. It is fantastic! Don't use too much molasses though. Just a small splash. Very simple yet fabulous.
The boston butt turned out to be one of the best I've ever had. That is saying something because I've sampled some of the finest @ the Alabama BBQ State Championships the past 3 years in Demopolis, AL. It was so tender and juicy, just fell apart in my hands. I think I'll have to go have some leftovers. _________________ Pocket Presents

| Glad they turned out well for you! Sounds delicious! I have a Memphis BBQ recipe that I'm going to try next, but I may come back to this one and try it soon.
