UGA still going strong, undefeated and winning so far today vs. Stanford (9-4 in the 6th right now).
NC sent the Coonasses home last night in grand fashion.

Well, I was.
UGA is playing well. Hopefully either they or UNC will bring it home.
Does Stanford have a self imposed rule to where they won't change their uniforms? That v-neck, non buttoned shirt is killing me.

I'm pulling for UNC. It is throwback week for Stanford... the old polyester pullovers are back!

I've watched every game either in PIP or on ESPN360. I do like what I'm seeing with UGA. They, for the most part, are playing solid baseball.
I've seen some calls in this CWS from "blue" that have had me shaking my head in disbelief. When Georgia and Stanford met the first time one called out on 1st was simply blown. Then, an inning later the same "blue" makes a call on a HR (that was foul) spot on.
The strike zone has been changing today from what I've seen.

I've pretty much come to accept the fact that umpires and officials (baseball, softball, football, and basketball) on the college level are inept. I think there are very few folks who can excel at being an ump or official, and most of them move up to the professional ranks. Softball umps are the worst though, it is like they just pick people out of the stands and hand them a blue shirt and a clicker.

Few and far between, for sure. Honestly, I'm surprised Redding is still calling games. He may have the best crew in the SEC.
I know one of the umps in SEC baseball. Hand to God, his full time job is selling cars...mostly used. (Suzuki dealership)

| The biggest umping difference in every sport between pros and college has to be the way they call balls and strikes( well, traveling too). If a player can throw something breaking away from the batter it will extend the strike zone another 4-5 inches, therefore making them virtually unhittable.

True. How the two back corners suddenly become round on a slider shocks me as well.
