To all those who have followed Bama Men's Basketball longer, has anyone else ever received so many accomplishments and acknowledgments before stepping on the College scene? It seems Green will be a huge player for us especially with Hendrix staying in the draft.

Its hard to say, since there are many more honors and opportunities out there now. Reggie King was highly sought after. Hendrix himself recieved many accolades as a recruit. Certainly Antonio McDyess, Hollywood Robinson, Gerald Wallace, Mo Williams, Enis Whatley. Some of Wimp's best players weren't that highly recruited or recognized out of high school, but Wimp had an eye for talent. Derrick McKey was a very tall and very good high school basketball player, but he was so skinny that he would make JeMareo Davidson look like a power lifter. Wimp said he didn't decide to offer him until he saw him playing shortstop on his high school baseball team.

JaMychal will be important for us, no doubt. I hope we'll be fair with him, though. He is a bit different from RH. He is taller and more athletic, and though not frail he is not as bulky as RH was at the same point in his career. I expect him to be a more active defender than RH, but at least at first not as much of a force on offense. I also expect him to be foul prone like most freshmen big men adapting to the college game.
