Howell really stepped up Friday night and threw a great game against Kentucky. That win, IMO, makes us a lock for post-season play. If BAMA can win out and take the tourney trophy, it might even translate into hosting a regional, but I'm not going to get too greedy. It would be nice to send LSU packing though!
On another note, I've been extremely impressed with the job that Wells and the staff have done this season. Over the course of the season, they have improved quite a bit in all 3 phases of the game, which is something I haven't seen in a couple of years. This team is handicapped by shallow depth on the mound, but they have been scoring enough runs to offset most of that. Going forward, they need to keep those bats alive, play solid defense, and hopefully the guys in the pen can limit runs. If so, BAMA not only has a chance to win the SEC Tourney, but more importantly make some noise NEXT weekend... and beyond...

| Glad to hear the baseball team is still rolling. I've been kind of busy lately, but it looks like the bats are still alive! It would be nice to take two from LSU...that's for sure.
