Trying to define toughness

Okay, this girl, Charlotte Morgan, is TOUGH.

Quote:
I'm at the news conference before the Tuscaloosa softball regional, and Alabama coach Patrick Murphy and star player Charlotte Morgan are about to sit down. On Charlotte's right foot is a boot. Thinking it's just a precautionary measure, Morgan is asked, What's wrong with you foot?

The answer: It's broken.

OK, maybe not totally broken, but with a serious stress fracture on the top of her foot. Anyway, how is it?

"It's good," Morgan said.

Apparently, her definition of good is different from most. So how long has Morgan been playing with a fractured foot? Oh, only since March 15. That's two months. And by the way, Morgan is not your run of the mill player. She's not a specialist, either.

In her best Monte Python British accent she replies "...just a flesh wound."

Hey, props to the medical staff. Keeping her playing Elite level Softball for two months with a stress Fracture is good work. I'm glad to see the good medical attention is not limited to the Glory sports.
