| What is the on-campus buzz about Hockey? Is it supported? Are they going to build an arena on campus?

From what I understand it receives about as much support as some of the other club sports receive, IE: raquetball, men's soccer, etc.
As to building an arena specifically for a club sport? I don't see as even an afterthought. UAH has a hockey team that is worth following, FWIW. Now, the idea of someone building an ice rink for the Tuscaloosa area residents to use may come around. Who knows?

| If we ever did get a hockey rink for the team, I think it would be really cool to have the ice dyed in crimson, and have the red lines used in hockey white.

THE Women's Final Four was played in Tampa this year, in an arena that drops the floor down on/over a frozen ice rink (Tampa's St. Pete Times Forum, home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning).
The Bryce Hospital property is reportedly gong to be purchased by the University soon.
Coleman Coliseum was built in 1968.
I write all this to publicly ponder the thought that some year soon a new Basketball arena my be built on the old Bryce property. And, as long as we are building from scratch it might be a wonderful time to construct an ice rink into the layout.

Our club racquet ball program has won a few NC's.

I think we have a bass fishing club team that also won an NC recently, but I might be wrong on that.
