According to Cecil Hurt we could be a bubble team for the NCAA, so we really need a W here.

Taking 3 out of 4 against UGA in the last 7 days (none of which were at home) should really help us.

It's LSU or Vandy tomorrow...game is next.
FWIW, there is live audio for those that don't get CSS...I believe yahoo is broadcasting it as well.

Bama rematches with Kentucky today @ 6:30.
You know, it seems that every year the regular season SEC champ is two and out in the Tourney. It makes sense. You know UGA will be a #1 seed and have the Home Field for a regional and super regional, so what's the modivation to play hard in the tourney? Since the college world series is played in Omaha and all the teams that make it there are pretty much an even playing field, seeding just isn't all that important once you have home field for the Super Regional locked up.

And if we beat the Mildcats today we would have to turn around and beat LSwho 2 games tomorrow just to get to the championship game on Sunday. Stranger things have happened. We owe the Mildcats; they have beat us 4 straight times this year.

Im not sure UGA will get a super reginal now. Those loses to us in the last week might have cost them a national seed

According to the original bracket SEC Sports had up in a pdf file we would have played the winner of Game 7 today. I see they've changed it now. When I looked at it after the game yesterday it didn't make sense to me. I couldn't understand how, if LSU won, they didn't get Friday off like teams have had in the past.
I shouldn't be surprised. On the football portion of that site, under '07 statistics, they have Alabama winning against Clemson as the last game of the season.
